WHAT WE DO

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Our goal is not only for the church to be led by the Samburu, but for the church to be healthy and biblical for the long-haul. In a context where the tribe is primarily illiterate and the only option for children are underfunded government schools, we view it as a responsibility of the church to create centers of learning for its’ people. This responsibility, coupled with the burden of raising children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, has led us to the vision of launching a classical Christian school from our church and for our church.

We believe a classical Christian school will help us fulfill our mission of establishing healthy, biblical, and indigenous-led churches in Northern Kenya by creating a new generation of Samburu that are educated, literate followers of Christ. In partnership with Rafiki Foundation, with a classical Christian curriculum designed for Africa and trained teachers, we plan to launch Nkishon Classical Christian School in January 2026.

It Takes a Village

Become an Advocate

If you ask the average westerner the question “How do you eat an elephant?” their response is certainly to be “one bite at a time.” If you ask the average African the same question their response will be “invite the whole village to help.”

We are doing just that— asking our village to come alongside us to “eat the elephant” of establishing a classical Christian school and resource center where spiritual growth & learning can take place so that the church among the Samburu will have deep roots to flourish!
