01 / One work, in three movements
Establish.
We preach the gospel to establish healthy, confessional, indigenous-led churches throughout Kenya.
Establish
The foundational task is to preach the gospel; everything else flows from it. Our job is to be faithful to preach the Word, and it is God who converts the sinner. Our aim is a self-governing, self-supporting, self-propagating church that joins into a national Presbyterian denomination.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
God alone
It is God's power that saves. The church's duty is faithful preaching, and God's to call His elect.
Sacraments
Baptism is the sign that precedes admission into the visible church; the Lord's Supper commemorates Christ's sacrifice.
Prayer
Corporate prayer is a central, high-priority part of Lord's Day worship.
Worship
Circumstances can adapt to culture, but the elements of worship, the Word, prayer, and sacraments, follow Scripture and are not altered.
Ecumenism
We work alongside existing biblical churches rather than in competition, while still planting new churches where false teaching has spread.
Indigenous-led
Local believers carry responsibility from the start. Full leadership transitions over time, through the care of the church-planting team and council, and through prayer.
